The family of Uma Aguilera, the girl who was murdered two years ago by criminals in the Buenos Aires locality of Villa Centenario, has launched a fundraising campaign. The goal is to receive donations for a children's home. María Eugenia Rodríguez, the victim's mother, spoke with the Argentine News Agency and emphasized that this is a call to collaborate with the Pereyra Home, a place where hundreds of children live and are fed daily. In this regard, she stated that they are accepting non-perishable foods, milk, cookies, cleaning supplies, sneakers, and clothing: 'Everything helps'. 'Uma in the heart of all children' is the name of the campaign held to commemorate the second anniversary of the minor's murder. Neighbors can go to Carlos de María de Alvear 920, Lomas de Zamora, from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 16:00. On January 22, 2024, the victim was with her father, Enrique Aguilera, who was a bodyguard for then-Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, when they were approached by thieves at their doorstep. The perpetrators fired three shots, one of which hit the rear pillar and a second entered through the car window. Despite all necessary medical tools being used for Uma's care, hours later, doctors at the Churruca Hospital confirmed her death. There was one arrestee who later regained freedom, but after an extensive investigation, the arrests of Ariel Acuña Vega, Axel Emiliano 'Pelusa' Rojas, Miguel Pastor 'Patoto' Romero Molinas, and Guillermo 'Paraguayo' Romero Molinas were achieved, who had stolen a car prior to the crime. The first three were sentenced to life imprisonment for qualified homicide by the use of a firearm and for being committed in a populated place and as part of a gang, aggravated by the participation of a minor. Meanwhile, Nahuel Santiago Coman received a five-year prison sentence for being a secondary participant in the qualified robbery with the use of a firearm, and the judges ordered his immediate detention. 'Paraguayo' Romero Molinas, who was a minor at the time of the attack, was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being subjected to an abbreviated trial.
